Trike-a-thon fundraiser | September
In the fall, we host our high-energy and entertaining Trike-a-Thon Fundraiser. Our students and their families help raise funds for our school by collecting flat donations or pledges per lap prior to the big day. On Trike-a-Thon day, our kiddos will ride their trikes and bikes in laps around our fun course at school. The Cody Police Department and local EMS help facilitate our event and support our riders. This event has been a huge success, and we are even able to award our top dollar earners with awesome prizes.
art auction & Showcase | March/April
Our annual LEP Art & Showcase includes a showcase of student art. The evening celebrates our young artists and the incredible learning that happens through creative exploration.
Throughout the year, students study famous artists while learning foundational art elements such as line, shape, color, texture, and form. By exploring different artistic styles and techniques, children discovered new ways to express their ideas and creativity.
Art education at the preschool level supports far more than creativity. Exploring art elements strengthens early math skills through patterning, spatial awareness, and shape recognition. Art experiences build language development as children describe their work and learn new vocabulary. Fine motor skills are strengthened through cutting, painting, drawing, and sculpting—helping prepare little hands for writing. Creative expression also supports self-regulation as children practice focus, patience, and problem-solving.
At Little Explorers, we emphasize process art, which focuses on the experience of creating rather than a perfectly finished product. Process art encourages independence, confidence, and critical thinking. When children are free to explore materials and make their own creative choices, they build resilience and a lifelong love of learning.

Carols & Cookies Holiday Performance | december
Near the holidays in December, we invite families to enjoy carols and cookies with our Little Explorers. Students will sing holiday songs with their class and with the entire preschool group. You won't want to miss this!

At the end of each school year, we give a group of our Little Explorers a proper send-off to Kindergarten. Graduation is always themed and fun, so our good-byes are centered on joy and accomplishment.
